Oh Canada! My Home

on Fri, 07/01/2016 - 00:10

"O Canada! My Home"  is ARCS' theme for the 2016-17 season. The theme will celebrate our country, our home, and its music. By season's end it will be Canada's 150th and ARCS’ 15th birthday - so let the celebration begin!

Registration for our fall choirs is now open and we welcome singers from all backgrounds. Our choirs are non-auditioned; the only requirements are to match pitch and be able to commit to regular rehearsals, teaching workshops, and costuming and performance expectations for our performing choirs.

To find out more, click on the ‘Join Us!’ tab. If you are considering participating, we recommend you look at our season calendar and read through our Singer Handbook from the past season to get a sense of what participation in an ARCS choir looks like: what you can expect and what your choir would expect of you.

We hope you will join us!

Love Letters from ARCS

on Fri, 06/10/2016 - 16:15

Oh, the many Aspects of Love! It’s been said that “love is all you need”. Indeed, love is a many splendored thing. And whether you’ve found it or not, ’tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Advice and reflections on love abound in words and music.

Part of the vision for ARCS year end show "Love Is In The Air" was to include snapshots of the many kinds of Love. We invited our members to share their own "Love Letters", some of which will be incorporated into our shows. We would love to take the opportunity to share these touching expressions of love.
